If you are looking for where to eat a bistecca alla fiorentina and you have already glanced at the price lists in central Florence, the real question is not which trattoria to pick: it is whether staying in the centre is worth it. As restaurateurs, the honest answer is that the same meat costs less as soon as you leave the city, and it has nothing to do with quality.

Why the Fiorentina Costs Less Outside Florence

The price of a steak is not made of meat alone. The bill of a place in the historic centre also carries the rent of a room two steps from the Duomo, the cover charge and a passing clientele that rarely comes back: those are the conditions that push some lists beyond €80 per kilo, while the average recorded on Florentine price lists in 2026 sits between €40 and €60. We explained the bands one by one in how much a bistecca alla fiorentina costs.

Ten minutes by car from the centre the cost structure changes, and the price with it. So does the rest of the evening: you park the car instead of hunting for a space, the table can be outdoors, and the time it takes to get here is roughly the time you would spend circling for parking downtown.

Where We Are, and How to Reach Us

We are at Viale XX Settembre 200, in Sesto Fiorentino, inside the Fantastic Garden villa: about ten minutes by car from Florence, outside the restricted traffic zone. In front of the restaurant there is a large free car park, unattended, inside the villa grounds — if you arrive by car, that is half the problem solved.

It is why our tables are filled not only by guests staying at the villa but mostly by people from Florence and the towns around it: locals know that for a meat dinner it pays to leave the centre, and visitors discover that a Fiorentina does not have to mean a queue and a menu translated into four languages.

What You Eat, Beyond the Steak

Here the Fiorentina is not ordered by the kilo: it is included in the All You Can Eat formula at €29.99 per person, together with the Tuscan cured meat board, the wood-fired bread, the mixed grill of Tuscan meats and the sides, all unlimited and served as long as you want more. Cover charge, drinks and desserts are excluded and are paid à la carte: we write it down so the comparison stays honest.

If you would rather see everything before booking, the menu lists every course, and there are pizzas too for anyone at the table who does not eat meat.

When to Come, and What to Know First

We are open every day for dinner only, from 7:00 to 11:00 pm, with the last tables at 9:30 pm. The formula starts at two people. Booking is done online from the site, with no phone call, and at weekends it is worth doing a few days ahead.

The restaurant sits inside a century-old park: in the warm season you dine outdoors, at tables facing the lit pool. The place is wheelchair accessible, and your dog is welcome on a lead, under the table.

Is It Worth Leaving the Centre?

If what you want is the Duomo from your table, no. If it is a real Fiorentina without counting grams on the bill, yes. How much it costs we have written in black and white, and the story of the cut explains why a thin steak under a kilo is not a Fiorentina, whatever the menu says.
